GOING RETRO WITH POLKA DOTS
Hey there,
Hope y'll are doing well:)
I know I'm back after a long time, I really have to work with my consistency.
For every girl and woman, polka dots are a fashion must-haves. They are a classic style that have evolved right from their first appearance on Minnie Mouse to today’s glamourous and popular designs on runways and red-carpet events. It’s a style for all seasons, simply because it exudes an undeniably youthful flair, and yet remains an incredibly timeless option for glitter girls of all ages! Big, medium or small-sized, polka dots suit everyone. Since the pattern is not restricted to one size, these dresses can be bold and vibrant or soft and subtle
in design.
Unlike other vintage trends, polka dots offer an intriguing way of mixing and matching with other bold colours. Clever and sensible use of this print can help you achieve various desirable styles.
Bigger and more structured dots can add a little fun to a sophisticated party outfit.
Polka dots will continue to get reinvented year after year, in a new retro way, with funky and mischievous twists. Polka dots might go down one season but they are never going to go out of fashion. Its universal appeal and style quotient makes it one trend to watch out for.
Include Polka Dots in your accessories
If you think head-to-toe prints are simply out of question, there is always the option of adding a playful punch to your
ensemble
with a sleek polka-dotted handbag or pair of pumps. The highlight of this style is that even a splash of polka to your regular wear can add vivacity to your overall look.
There are other unique accessories you can experiment with — a snazzy headband or a pair of polka dot socks with your short dress.
Give it a try !
If you're an evid follower of my Instagram, you would know how much I love wearing sarees. So I tried wearing a saree which is hand embroidered by my grandmother. I have this great love for handlooms and hand embroidered things. It's a pretty yellow Georgette saree, sheer fabric and lightweight.
I paired it with my black polka dots top, giving it a touch of retro with gold coloured watch and chandbali earrings.
so here are some pictures:)
